It is now over 40 years since my first encounter with the Italian Spinone, and my passion remains the same.

Here at Montecani HQ, I continue to stay loyal to the old-fashioned Spinone and strive to breed for true Italian type, with working ability and a biddable nature.

I import  well bred dogs from Italy and other countries to keep  genetic diversity in my original lines.

Montecani dogs are first and foremost, my family pets. All my dogs stay here whether they make breed and show grade or not. 

I have shared my life with many beautiful elderly Spinoni who have been born into my hands and left with me by their side.

My Spinone family is a huge part of my life, and since moving from Hertfordshire in 2016, the dogs now enjoy life on our 20 acre Smallholding in Somerset.
